Run With Wolves

This piece is based on a life-changing book, Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. It’s about how women can reclaim their wild from living in a society that requires them to be small and obedient. This book breaks down fables that serve to both cage and dampen women’s spirits. Through this book, I learned that it’s our nature and also in the interest of our health to find connections to our land, to our creativity, to intuition and self-expression. The woman in my painting draws from the power of the night stars around her, with the wolves as her companions. She is powerful and free.
