Hard to believe that the silly season is nearly upon us. WTF happened to 2016? I’m not so sure. One thing I do know, It’s been one I will never forget.

I’ve just wrapped up my first art show and the night was a smashing success. If anyone wants to join the RAW organisation. I would highly recommend it. It was two parts art exhibition, one part market, one part party. They don’t charge you for a stall or any commissions on your sales. The only thing you need to invest is your time and materials. Oh, and for your first showcase you need to sell 20 tickets aka find 20 friends or family to come show support.

Show Prep

Unsure what to expect during preparations, I created smaller pieces at low price points and brought along some larger works from my personal collection to demonstrate my range. Everything I sold costed $50.00 or less and gave away heaps of business cards. Win and Win.

For reals though- the best part for me was the rock-solid love and encouragement I felt from everyone. I was on a complete high that night and all the next day (despite my champagne hangover).

Everything I produced for the show that didn’t sell is going up in my Etsy store- just in time for Christmas shopping! My poor little shop has been neglected for the last few months so it’s great to get an infusion happening in there.

What have you been working on?

I can’t wait to see what everyone is making AND I can’t wait to start my shopping right here with my Etsy Peeps.

Dawnrieniets, I really appreciate the handmade items list as that’s the best I have seen so far. I might actually try creating some of it.
